But what is exactly is B Corp?
B Corp is "to business what Fair Trade is to coffee" in as such that B Corp businesses give as much consideration to their social and environmental impact as they do to their financial returns.
That is certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose to help accelerate a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
B Corp pending is the first stage of the certification process to allow start-ups a way to show stakeholders, board advisors, employees and prospective clients that they committed to building an ethical and sustainable business and are on track to certifying as B Corp.

At Olwg we felt that the B Corp principles matched our values well and the Impact Assessment an excellent framework to help up build and grow our company the right way from the start whilst also holding us accountable for all decisions made.
We are excited to start our B Corp journey and are fully committed to achieving full certification in the next 12 months to ensure Olwg always uses business as a force for good.
