Welcoming New Starters Emmanuel & Rafique!

Simon will unfortunately be leaving Olwg as a Director to pursue another full-time position, and we thank Simon for his contributions in helping to turn Olwg from a fledgling ‘idea’ to a Company with unique prototype products and a Plan designed to sustain + scale our operations. We're pleased that Simon will remain a valued Advisor to Olwg from November, and we wish Simon all the best with his new role.

This left an important position open at a critical time for us - and we’re excited to announce and introduce two new starters who join us today:

Emmanuel Kirunda joins as Commercial Director

and will essentially pick up from Simon's commercial role – focusing initially on shaping, delivering and executing the Plan. Emmanuel and Tony worked closely together on delivering the Final Investment Decision and initial contract placement for the $600M Greater Jubilee Full Field development, and we trust him with leading on delivering the next phase of Olwg’s business.

Welcome Emmanuel!
Emmanuel has more than 15 years of a global experience defining, developing and delivering projects in Infrastructure, Financial Services and Oil & Gas sectors. He has a background in civil engineering and is a PMI certified Project Manager. Emmanuel brings to Olwg an acute expertise in economic modelling and financial analysis of a wide range of renewable energy propositions, mergers and acquisitions, and early-stage company valuations. He recently delivered the commercial feasibility study of a multi-billion-dollar Green Energy hub. Emmanuel holds an MBA from Cranfield University and an MSc from the University of Texas at Austin.

Rafique Samdani will join as Business Development Manager

initially on a part-time basis, this important new role will become more important as we continue to understand and attract paid customers. Rafique came highly recommended through Simon’s network.

Welcome Rafique!
Rafique’s passion for business development includes expansion into new geographies, developing strong & sustainable relationships. A first degree in Physical Electronics followed by a master’s in computer science set the scene for a career in the Oil & gas sector. From a "juggie" & observer on seismic crews to real-time processing onboard seismic acquisition vessels. The later 10+ years focussed on BD activities nationally and internationally.

Welcome Emmanuel and Rafique!

We're very lucky to have been able to attract them to our team.
